Xiaomi’s first gaming smartphone, Black Shark, was released in April, and the next generation of smartphones is reported to have appeared on the TENAA China Regulatory Body list.

The gaming smartphone will have a design that resembles its predecessor with the S symbol and a pattern on the back but has a thicker chassis.

Black Shark 2 also seems to come with the same screen size and battery capacity as its predecessor, which is 5.99 inches and 4000mAh.

TENAA certification also notes that Black Shark 2 will support TD-LTE, FDD-LTE, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, cdma2000, CDMA 1X and GSM standards. This gaming smartphone will also support dual SIM cards with dual standby and will be supported by the Android operating system.

However, more detailed specifications regarding the device have not been revealed. It is possible that the device is a budget version of the initial Black Shark smartphone, and not the successor to the smartphone.
