I’ve got a “Limited Time Offer” messages asking me to get Airtel 4.5GB for ₦1000, and this got me asking?
Am i the only one getting this SMS from Airtel?
Sometimes last week, I got this message from Airtel that ask me to subscribe to their limited time offer that offers 4.5GB data for 1k.
I was marvelled at first and believed this offer to be too good to be true.
Is this plan legit or fake or just a plot to make us subscribe to their plan?
Airtel 4.5GB for ₦1000, like I said, seem unrealistic to me.
In December 2016, NCC mandated all internet network providers to increase their tariff plan before the protest cooled off the state of affairs.
On my part, I’ve tweeted at @airtel_care for clarification but there wasn’t any reasonable response from them.

Okay, I went on to dial the code (see code below) and got something entirely different result from what they claimed it offers. Instead of seeing 4.5GB, that USSD code popped up 1.5GB.
Also on Twitter, a user claimed he got something similar but of lesser value.
Here’s his tweet:

Have you also seen this message? Have you tired activating any these plans?
I’ve actually not tried though, but if it turns out to be real, do let us know because I really need to ascertain the genuineness of these plans.
